CCE Registration Information:
Dear Families:
As our year in CCE comes to a close, we in the CCE Office have already begun preparations for next year’s program. It is our goal to ensure that St. Edward Catholic Community has the finest, safest and most sophisticated faith formation program to offer our parishioners. In that vein, we have updated our registration process, forms and procedures. Please read this carefully and register your child(ren) for the upcoming year of CCE soon.
We all know that more paperwork can mean a bigger headache, however having more information on your child(ren) and your family will also help us to better manage our program, serve your family and keep our students safe. That being said, this year you will see a few more forms than in the past. When registering your family for CCE you will need the following forms:
Baptismal Certificate – No child will be placed in a class without a copy of his/her baptismal certificate on file in the CCE office. If you are unsure about whether or not you have already provided this or if you have not yet done so, please have your certificate or a copy of it available when registering. If your child has not yet been baptized, please inform us immediately so that we can place your child in the appropriate class.
St. Edward CCE Family Registration Form (white) – Fill out one of these forms per family and list all students in grade PK-8th on the front side. The back side of this form is the High School CCE Registration Form. We will need one of these forms per high school student in your family. Please click HERE for more information about the High School Modules program.
Parental Consent/Liability & Medical Release Form (pink) – Fill out one of these forms per child. This form allows us to administer proper care to your child(ren) in case of emergency. It also includes a photography consent that allows us to take pictures and use them on the parish website or in printed promotional materials.
CCE Pick-Up Authorization Form (green) – Fill out one of these forms per child if anyone other than a parent will be picking up your child(ren). This form tells us who can and cannot pick up your child. This is also important for students of driving age who may be driving themselves or others to and from CCE Classes.
Volunteer Information Form (blue) – Fill out one of these forms per adult or young adult volunteer. This form helps us to know what areas of ministry you may be interested in helping with.
You will notice that some of these forms ask for the same information. This is because each form has a different function and will be stored separately. The Family Registration forms will be in the CCE office for administrative purposes. The Medical release forms will be in a binder in the building in which your child’s class is in case of emergency, fire, etc. And the student’s teacher will have his/her Pick-Up Authorization Forms so that they can monitor who is picking up your child.
Registration forms are now available for the upcoming CCE year and can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate form title in the "Forms" section to the right.
Registrations will be accepted until Sept. 1st. After that date all families will be subject to a registration fee equal to the non-registered parishioners’ fee. Classes will be offered on Sundays at 5:30 – 6:45 pm and Wednesdays at 6:30 – 7:45 pm. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis and thus class day preferences cannot be guaranteed, so register early and put your mind at ease.
If your child is in the 3rd grade or above and has not yet received his/her First Communion, please note that they will be required to attend a first year prep class during the Wednesday evening sessions.
Thank you for your continued support of our CCE Program and all of our faith formation ministries at St. Edward. We appreciate your patience in filling out forms and look forward to serving you and your family in faith formation again next year.
In Faith,
The St. Edward CCE Office Staff
Deacon Nick Thompson, DRE

A Vision Statement
from the
Continuing Christian Education (CCE) Office
of St. Edward Catholic Community
We believe parents are the primary educators in the faith. Parents teach their children about love, respect, discipline, justice, forgiveness, and human dignity. For the young child, parents put a face on God. This "teaching" occurs from infancy through young adulthood. The family is the "domestic church" and as such we have tremendous respect and reverence for each individual family struggling to “be” in this world today.
We see ourselves as partners with both the families we serve and the parish we work within. Parents make a commitment when they bring their children to the church to be baptized. They promise to raise their children in the Catholic faith with all that implies. We who work in religious education at St. Edward Catholic Community make a reciprocal commitment to the children and their families. We will strive to support our families and structure the knowledge they have already imparted to the children. We will build on that as we prepare children to reverently receive sacraments, learn solid Catholic doctrines, and grow closer to our wonderful God.
We believe that our children and youth are the present and future church and we need to prepare them to be good stewards of the gifts God has given them. We need their involvement and their enthusiasm as they learn and grow. We welcome them as contributing members of St. Edward Catholic Community, learning to serve their families, their parish and their God.
