The US Catholic Conference of Bishops authored “ a pastoral plan for adult faith formation in the United States” entitled Our Hearts Were Burning With in us.  It made clear a new priority for adult faith formation:
 
“...adult faith formation is essential to who we are and what we do as Church, and must be situated not at the periphery of the Church’s educational mission but at its
center.” 
 
“Every Church ministry will be energized through a
dynamic ministry of adult catechesis.”
 
“The parish places adult catechesis at the center of its stated missions and goals, and it promotes the importance of adult faith formation at every opportunity.”




 

The Adult Evangelization and Catechesis Team at St. Edward puts into action the Bishop's call to make a comprehensive adult formation program available to its parishioners.
