      Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

      Dear Parishioners:

This weekend, we remember the Supreme Court decision “Roe vs Wade”. We cannot forget the children. We cannot pretend that it never happened. The children yesterday and today were each called to life by name by their Creator. The holy innocence of these past thirty-nine years will not be forgotten as also the children of time who suffered a martyr’s death in the womb. We pray for the mothers and fathers, the enablers, the sons and daughters of creation. The victims are with their God praising and worshipping him. One day, we all will be together before our God and judge.

There is so much to do and be done in the name of humanity. Yes, we must reverence life! We need to give the example of love and respect for each other. Monday, we are asked to pray and fast for the sins of yesterday; for our failures to love each other; for our neglect of seniors and the mistreatments that we have perpetrated to others; the indifference that has been a part of us...for the anger...for the hatred...for prejudice and bias...we beg forgiveness and we fast and pray tomorrow, January 23rd.

      Love you,

      Fr.Joe
